Time to shine for resources services sector with opening of nominations for the 2022 RIN Awards

Top performing METS sector companies from the Mackay region are encouraged to nominate for the upcoming 2022 Resource Industry Network (RIN) Awards and shine a light on the great work being done in the sector.

Nominations are now open for the 2022 RIN Awards and Resource Industry Network is urging businesses to take the time to prepare their nominations for the seven categories on offer.

The awards firmly place the region’s resources sector in the spotlight and with so many challenges facing businesses on a daily basis, the event is a positive way to celebrate the many accomplishments happening in the resources sector and a cost-effective way to gain exposure for your business.

With METAROCK coming on as the major partner, and Mackay Regional Council as a Silver Partner, the awards are free to enter as many times as you like, and nominees benefit enormously through recognition with buyers, stakeholders, and government.

Last year’s Chasing Foreign Markets Award winner, 2Censor, has enjoyed remarkable exposure as a result of winning the prestigious 2021 award.

“Last year’s awards night was an amazing celebration of the success stories coming out of the resources services sector,” 2Censor director Corey Vaughan said.

“We were fortunate to be recognised in the export category and apart from the exposure it has afforded 2Censor, it is also a great exercise in branding and business reflection.

“We walked away with fantastic feedback from the judging panel, as well as some valuable digital assets. I would encourage any businesses in the mining supply chain to enter into the awards. Even if you don’t become a finalist or winner, your application is put before an esteemed judging panel which provides valuable exposure,” he said.

The awards provide an opportunity to step back from day-to-day business activities and make a valued assessment on the achievements of your organisation and staff, as well as recognise staff for the effort they have contributed to your organisation.

The 2022 award categories include:

  • Chasing Foreign Markets Award
  • Champion Culture Award
  • Out of the Box Award
  • Safety Foremost Award
  • Connecting in the Community Award
  • Standing Out from the Crowd Award
  • Striving for Diversity Award

Established in 2008, the awards showcase excellence in business and the significant contribution that they make to the regional economy and community. Sponsorship opportunities are still available so contact the friendly team at Resource Industry Network for more information.
